The Chinese literary magazine ‘October’ held a special event for the 45th anniversary of its creation, to which Keiichiro Hirano was invited in Beijing. It was a good opportunity to strengthen ties with local authors, as Hirano had the opportunity to have a talk interview with Chinese author Xu Zechen.
In addition, the September number that came out on this September 10th features Keiichiro Hirano’s newest short story “Ibuki” (yet to be published in Japan). Other famous authors from all around the world have been participating in this literary-relay style writing series, such as Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio or John Maxwell Coetzee.
