Sakuya Ishikawa gig-works as a "Real Avatar," treating clients to vicarious experiences. He expects to live with his beloved mother forever, until he learns of her long-held wish for autonomothanasia, a voluntary death. When she dies in a falling drone accident, Sakuya orders her Virtual Figure produced. Now, through this AI replica of who his mother once was, he must get to the bottom of her real intention for having wanted to end her life, using the "Self-Termination System", despite supposedly being happy.
